We’re excited to announce that Community Health Day sponsored by Independent Health returns on Wednesday, June 19, at the Buffalo Museum of Science! Families of all ages are encouraged to join us for the summertime event, designed to promote healthy habits and inspire positive lifestyle changes.
As always, admission to the Buffalo Museum of Science is FREE on Community Health Day.

With a focus on health and wellness, Community Health Day will feature a variety of indoor and outdoor activities for all to enjoy – plus FREE giveaways from our RedShirtsSM, while supplies last!

- Family fitness activities led by YMCA Buffalo Niagara
- Make-your-own stress ball station and coloring with Independent Health’s Wellness Team
- Kid-friendly activities and information from the Independent Health Foundation
- Scavenger hunt and quiz inside the Explore YOU health studio
- Juneteenth-themed storybook readings
- PLAYSTREETS programming courtesy of the Police Athletic League of Buffalo
- GObike smoothie bike with information on their 10th annual SkyRide and more
- Reddy Bikeshare demonstrations featuring Reddy+ Bikes (e-bikes)
- East Side Bike Club “Major Taylor” bike ride and storybook reading
- Special character appearances
- Food trucks featuring Healthy Options®
- Additional health and wellness vendors

Outdoor activities will be held in MLK Jr. Park on the back side of the Museum, weather-pending.
