This year’s Medicare Open Enrollment Period will run from October 15 through December 7. During this timeframe, Medicare beneficiaries will be able to review their medical and prescription drug plan options for the 2021 calendar year and enroll in the plan that’s best for their individual needs.

Join Buffalo Bills Legends, including Jim Kelly, in partnership with Independent Health Foundation, Buffalo Bills Foundation and Channel 4 for the Huddle for Hunger Food Drive to benefit FeedMore WNY at the Bills Stadium on Friday, September 18 from 4 – 8 pm and Saturday, September 19from 12 – 4 pm. Huddle for Hunger masks will be given to the first 5,000 donors at the stadium. Limit two per car.

Reddy Bikeshare, in partnership with Independent Health, announced today that 11 new stations and 40 new bikes have been added to the fleet in the City of Buffalo for a total of 240 bikes and 55 stations now available. This expansion marks the first time bikes have been added to the fleet in Buffalo since the program launched on July 21, 2016 with 200 bikes. With 145 bikes and 30 stations in Niagara Falls, Reddy Bikeshare now provides a total of 385 bikes at 85 stations in the Buffalo-Niagara region.

Independent Health announced today that it will continue to waive copayments or cost-sharing for COVID-19 medical treatment for its fully insured employer groups, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and individual plan members until further notice. Early last month the company announced it would cover COVID-19 treatment with no member liability through May 31, 2020, which it now extended due to the continued prevalence of the virus.
