Independent Health’s HMO/POS (Commercial) plan has been rated 4.5 out of 5 nationally in 2022, and was rated as a 4.5 plan from 2015-2021

Independent Health is once again one of the highest-rated health plans in the nation for clinical quality and member satisfaction, according to the “National Committee for Quality Assurance’s (NCQA) Health Plan Ratings 2022: Commercial.” NCQA is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to improving health care quality.

As part of the NCQA’s Health Plan Ratings 2022, more than 425 Commercial health plans from across the country were reviewed and rated based on their combined Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS®), Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) and NCQA Accreditation scores. Each health plan was rated on a 5-point scale for consumer satisfaction, prevention and treatment. Overall, Independent Health’s HMO/POS (Commercial) plan received a 4.5 out of 5 rating for 2022, making it one of only 37 Commercial plans in the country to receive a rating of 4.5 or higher. Independent Health has also been Fully Accredited by NCQA for its Commercial line of business for 2022.
